Mohammed Razak (“Razak”) and Shaireen Begum (“Shaireen”) have worked in Fiji and New Zealand since 1998 and are admitted as a Barristers & Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand. In addition, both Razak and Shaireen are admitted as barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia and the High Court of the Fiji Islands.
Razak commenced his legal career in the Fiji Islands in 1998, focusing on civil litigation. He continued his passion for civil litigation in New Zealand and from 2008 to mid 2012, worked at a prominent law firm in West Auckland as a civil litigator. Razak joined West City Law in July 2012 and works alongside his fellow director Shaireen Begum practicing as a civil litigator mainly in the areas of insolvency and liquidation as well as property and commercial law.
Shaireen brings a wealth of 10 years of legal experience and specialises in Property Law, Commercial Law and Immigration. Having worked for a financial institution in Fiji and for the ANZ National Bank Limited in Auckland, she also has extensive knowledge and background in banking and finance.
